Beginning next month, Quanta is delighted to offer our customers what will certainly be the NEXT REVOLUTION in tattoo removal, a NON-LASER process utilizing a patented solution called EliminInk™.
Training & Certification: Quanta is now offering courses on how to apply EliminInk™, which is implanted into the skin using a standard tattoo machine (exactly the same way tattoo ink is implanted).
Training is REQUIRED to purchase the EliminInk™ product. We currently have several courses scheduled throughout the United States, including a one-day course for existing Permanent Makeup Practitioners interested in learning how to use the EliminInk™ product (in approved States). The EliminInk™ Difference: Current Q-Switched Laser technologies for tattoo removal cost as much as $100,000, and it usually takes six to nine treatments for a physician using the laser to fully remove a tattoo from a patient. Most laser practitioners charge between $1,800 and $6,000 for all treatments required to remove a tattoo (depending on the size and number of colors in the tattoo).
By contrast, EliminInk™ requires no capital equipment investment for the practitioner, and...
According to an article in this month's Outpatient Surgery Magazine, many doctors are resisting hospital efforts to convert to safety scalpels. According to Ron Stoker, "There are a number
of entrenched objections [to using safety scalpels]. Some argue that safety scalpels feel too
light, don't fit in their hands well and feel clumsy to use. Others
note that their retractable shields and other safety mechanisms
obstruct the view of the blade and make them unsuitable for deeper
incisions. While safety scalpel design has advanced beyond the early,
box-cutter-like models, for many physicians there's no substitute for
conventional blades."
"Another frequent objection is the fact that safety scalpels are
active devices, meaning that a clinician has to consciously activate
the products' safety features. Unlike the passive blood collection
devices, whose spring-loaded mechanisms simply require needle insertion
to automatically activate the retracting feature, safety scalpels
require the proactive retracting or shielding of the blade between
uses. This adds steps to a surgical procedure, and some surgeons even
fear injuries may accidentally occur while the steps are taken."
The article also quoted a study of scalpel blade injuries which "In essence, they compared safety scalpels to scalpel safety. The use of
a neutral zone or passing tray in tandem with a scalpel blade remover,
they found, compared favorably to the use of safety-engineered scalpels
in that both strategies had the potential to prevent a large number of
the injuries.2 Further, their study suggested, the more passive
transfer and removal safety methods represented more effective
interventions than safety scalpels' required user activations."
Scalpel Blade removal solutions from Qlicksmart were profiled as a safer and often preferred alternative converting to safety scalpels.

High-end Medical Spas, Dermatologists and Plastic Surgeons, as well as General Practitioners and other physicians are now able to offer less invasive and less expensive laser procedures to their patients due to a new Micro-Fractional CO2 Laser technology and the Quick-Start Program offered by Quanta Technologies. The foundation of the new program is the MiXto SX Fractional CO2 Laser, a truly revolutionary device priced less than half as much as some other fractional lasers. Providing a faster, more precise, less painful and less invasive experience for the patient the MiXto SX Fractional CO2 Laser offers the benefits of outstanding clinical results balanced with reasonable procedure fees.
Physicians throughout the country are interested in providing a one-stop-shopping experience for their patients in trying to offset increased working hours, stress due to dealing with managed care and poor reimbursement from insurance providers. In the past, lasers were considered difficult and challenging to incorporate into an existing practice, usually due to the prohibitive upfront expense, training and integration costs associated with new medical technologies. Quanta's new generation of Fractional CO2 Lasers, however, are different, both less expensive, safer, and more patient-friendly than any previous laser technologies.
The Business Opportunity: Patients expect to pay about $2,500 for a micro-fractional skin resurfacing procedure through a physician operated Medical Spa, Dermatologist or Plastic Surgeon's office. By leapfrogging to the MiXto SX CO2 Laser, practitioners can offer a better, safer, faster, and less painful procedure at prices that are much more competitive and reasonable. More importantly, Quanta helps physicians integrate laser procedures profitably into their practice, by offering financing, installation, equipment training, marketing support, and business practice integration, all of which is included in the price of the laser. Within weeks or even days after installation, a physician can be profitably offering laser treatments to both new and existing patients.
In the March/April 2008 issue of Aesthetic Buyer's Guide, Bob Kronmeyer wrote an article entitled "Lasering Offers Versatile Fractional Resurfacing Device" in which he interviewed Dr Daniel Cassuto about the laser. Below is a text excerpt of the article:
The SLIM MiXto SX is a new fractional skin resurfacing CO2 laser from Lasering S.r.l (Modena, Italy) that offers versatility, physician control and reduced patient discomfort. “This laser not only functions as a traditional CO2 resurfacing laser, but has fractional
capability as well,” said Daniel Cassuto, M.D., a professor of plastic surgery at the University of Catania in Catania, Italy. “I normally don’t need to use any anesthesia when I perform fractional resurfacing in a mild-to-moderate intensity.”
